Survey: Still many people prefer Z Fold8 over Z Fold8 Ultra

In the past few weeks, since Samsung launched its new folding screen duo, many of you are probably wondering: If you've spent a lot of money to buy a folding phone, then try adding 200 USD to buy the Fold8 Ultra version, why buy the standard version? The Ultra version just has a better camera, bigger battery... But looking at the recent survey on the Android Authority site with more than 2,200 participants, the results are exactly like my guess. Up to 58.4% of voters favored the standard Galaxy Z Fold8. The biggest reason does not necessarily lie in saving money, but comes from its new design. The device is made thinner, lighter, easier to hold and pocket, and has a more square, horizontal screen. This ratio makes the experience of watching movies, surfing the web or having daily entertainment feel very good (a detailed review is coming soon). There's even a friend (not me, although it's quite the same situation) who shared that he had used iOS for 15 years but decided to switch to Android just because he was so in love with the wide horizontal design of the Fold8, accepting that the device only had 2 rear cameras, a smaller battery or a slightly softer screen.

On the contrary, about 25.8% of users still decided to choose the Ultra version. Those who choose Ultra mainly like the largest internal screen, strong battery and ceiling configuration, especially those who are upgrading from the Fold6 model. In addition, about 13% feel that the two devices are quite similar and not too different, and the remaining 3% choose to ignore both devices.

Personally, I think Samsung's move to change the screen ratio this year on the standard Fold8 version really hits the needs of many people.
