Without price reduction, iPhone 17 Pro Max still sells well in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - After nearly a year of being on sale, iPhone 17 Pro Max is only down about 5% compared to the list price but still maintains stable purchasing power in Vietnam.
iPhone 17 Pro Max will be available in the Vietnamese market from September 2025. To date, this product has entered the final stage of its life cycle.
Compared to previous iPhone models, the price of iPhone 17 Pro Max has always remained stable and has not had much fluctuation since the time it went on sale.

During the low season, the iPhone 16 Pro Max dropped to a price of 29 million VND for the standard 256GB memory version. This difference is equivalent to a 15% reduction compared to the listed selling price.
However, the price of iPhone 17 Pro Max has only decreased slightly so far. Currently, iPhone 17 Pro Max is being offered by dealers at a price of 36 million VND for the 256GB version, a decrease of 5% compared to the listed price.
Talking to Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Van Thi Ngoc Yen, Director of Apple products at Mobile Vietnam, said that the iPhone 17 Pro Max price has not had many adjustments due to many factors, including fluctuations in the cost of components such as RAM and processor chips on the market.
"We are still monitoring the company's moves and expect there will be more updates on pricing policy in the near future. At this time, there is no basis to confirm the specific time or level of adjustment," this unit added.
Also according to dealers, iPhone 17 Pro Max sales have so far remained stable and have almost not decreased compared to the previous generation, despite the selling price almost not decreasing since its launch.
"IPhone 17 Pro Max sales have not changed much so far. In fact, demand for high-end product lines still remains at a good level. Even when the selling price has almost not decreased, purchasing power is generally stable," said Hoang Ha Mobile representative.

In the high-end segment, iPhone 17 Pro Max currently competes with a number of products such as Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Pro and vivo X300 Pro. However, statistics from dealers show that iPhone 17 Pro Max occupies an overwhelming proportion in the high-end segment.
The shopping trends of Vietnamese consumers are still similar to previous years. The 256GB and 512GB memory versions are chosen by many thanks to their accessible prices for most common users.
"In the early stages of sales, iPhone 17 Pro Max sales created a certain boom. However, when considered overall in the same long-term time frame of nearly a year, device sales have almost no difference compared to its predecessor.
In the high-end segment, price still affects purchasing decisions, but is not the only factor. Users are also interested in features, camera systems, performance, battery life and long-term use," said Minh Tuan Mobile representative.
