Leica SL3-P officially launched, 40fps shooting, 8K Open-gate, price $6,690

Leica SL3-P is a full-frame mirrorless camera model of the SL series. This is a mid-range model between the Leica SL series with high resolution of 60MP and the SL-S with fast shooting speed. SL3-P has 44MP high resolution along with the ability to capture 40fps, 8K Open-gate.

Leica SL3-P is equipped with a 44MP Full-frame BSI CMOS sensor with integrated phase detection technology. The device is capable of shooting up to 40fps in 12-bit photo mode. and 15 fps in 14-bit photo mode.

In addition, the device is also equipped with an Autofocus System (AF) with AI that recognizes and intelligently tracks subjects (Subject recognition AF), significantly improving the ability to capture focus in fast-moving situations. In addition, the SL3-P also has a number of focus points up to 819 points, the highest in the SL series, making it suitable for professional sports photography.

The SL3-P also supports 8K Open-gate recording up to 24p (or 7.2K Open-gate recording up to 30p). Full-width recording at 8K resolution (UHD/DCI) up to 30p and 4K up to 30p. This can be said to be the SL that compromises between recording and shooting.
