LG Swing - multi-directional rotating entertainment device, 4K resolution
The manufacturer positions LG Smart Monitor Swing as a new generation mobile screen, a cross between a tablet and a traditional TV. The device has a wide, clear display space and can move flexibly between indoor areas.
In terms of design, the company equips a pedestal with integrated wheels and a flexible lifting system. The monitor connects to the armrest via a smart lock mount and still supports standard Vesa standards for fixed mounting needs at the desk.
According to the announcement, the ergonomic spindle allows users to easily raise and lower the height, change the horizontal viewing angle or rotate vertically 90 degrees. The gyroscope sensor will automatically adjust the display interface corresponding to the rotation direction of the screen.
The manufacturer's representative pointed out that due to the use of a 4K panel that consumes a lot of energy, the device does not have a built-in backup battery but requires a direct power connection. The power source is designed to be hidden inside the base and wired along the support arm, so the overall product still looks neat.
In terms of display quality, the screen uses a 31.5-inch LCD panel with 4K resolution. High pixel density creates sharpness and seamlessness, especially when displaying text or small details.
In addition, the company prioritizes glossy screens without anti-glare coating, helping to reproduce colors brighter and richer. However, users should avoid placing the screen directly against strong light sources to limit image reflection.
"With the characteristics of LCD panels, the black depth and contrast cannot reach the optimal level like other Oled TV lines," a company representative said.
LG Swing also supports multi-touch operations directly on the screen, comes with a remote control, making data input and navigation more convenient. The device operates as an independent entertainment center through the webOS operating system, smoothly operating popular applications such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video or Disney+.
The back of the screen provides a full range of connection ports including: one power port, two HDMI ports, three USB Type-C ports (of which one port supports 65W reverse charging) and a webcam mount. The product is also compatible with wireless connection protocols such as AirPlay 2 or screen sharing from Android devices.
Regarding the sound system, LG Swing integrates two 5W stereo speakers, meeting basic audio-visual needs in small room spaces, but the overall sound quality is quite thin and lacks resonance. Users should use additional speakers if they require a more advanced sound experience.
With a standard 60 Hz refresh rate, the screen is not aimed at high-speed gaming needs. Instead, the device is optimized for light entertainment games, watching vertical video content (TikTok, YouTube Shorts), reading documents or displaying music.
