The new Mac mini costs from 25 million VND

(Dan Tri) - On the evening of August 25 (Vietnam time), Apple announced the new generation of Mac mini with two processor chip configuration options M6 and M5 Pro.

In particular, the M6 ​​chip is Apple's first processor manufactured on the 2nm process. Apple says the new process increases transistor density, significantly improving performance and energy efficiency.

The M6 ​​chip version has a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, delivering multi-threaded performance up to 1.2 times faster than the M5 chip and 2.4 times faster than the M1 chip. The highlight of the M6 ​​generation lies in the new Neural Engine, providing twice the AI ​​computing capacity compared to previous generations.

Mac mini also supports the M5 Pro chip option for professional users. The M5 Pro chip supports CPU configurations of up to 18 cores and GPUs of up to 20 cores, with a maximum RAM capacity of 64GB.

The new version has almost no design changes compared to the previous generation. Apple has developed a new heat dissipation architecture, which helps guide air through the different levels of the system and escape completely through the base.

Regarding the number of connection ports, the device is equipped with 2 USB-C ports and a headphone jack on the front, while the back is arranged with 3 Thunderbolt ports, 1 HDMI port and 1 Ethernet port.

The version running the M6 ​​chip is equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 port, while configurations running the M5 Pro chip have a new generation Thunderbolt 5 port with faster data transfer speeds. At the same time, all of these new Mac mini models support wireless connections such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

In the Vietnamese market, the new Mac mini has a listed price from 25 million VND. Meanwhile, the most advanced configuration option is offered by Apple at a price of 188.25 million VND.

Apple has not announced the launch date for the device in Vietnam.
