The screen, measuring about 15 m x 5 m, with a display area of 72.66 m2, was launched on March 31 and displays images such as planes taking off, rockets flying and astronauts floating. The LED screen weighs 250 grams per m2, total weight is about 18 kg, and can float in the air in a light breeze with the help of a drone.

According to Filmbase, the screen can fly for 20 - 30 minutes after 2 - 3 hours of charging. It's also dozens of times sharper than traditional light shows on buildings and drones. The flying screen has up to 300,000 pixels, allowing the display of vivid and delicate images.

"The flying screen integrates high-definition display technology and flying equipment, which can create more impressive and flexible visual effects in the air. It can provide a new type of display for applications such as aerial advertising, brand display, activity promotion, cultural light show," said Yuan Lanlan, general manager of Filmbase.

Filmbase revealed that the screen went through countless tests and optimizations before setting the record. A pioneer in low-altitude display technology, Filmbase's flying displays are thin, light, and highly transparent. Its high-definition transparency technology ensures clear image quality while reducing wind resistance for more stable flight. Low power consumption, low noise design combined with the natural heat dissipation ability of the wind help the screen save energy and be more environmentally friendly.

"We not only set a world record but also demonstrated to the world the power of China's smart manufacturing," Yuan shared. Filmbase is trying to grow in the international market by participating in industry exhibitions. The company has several foreign orders for flying displays and plans to promote the products in Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, and Dubai.
