Fujifilm FP-ZUH12000 interchangeable lens laser projector, 12,000 lumen brightness

Fujifilm has just introduced the FP-ZUH12000, a new 4K laser projector model in the Z Series with a maximum brightness of 12,000 lumens. Besides doubling the brightness compared to the previous generation FP-ZUH6000, the most notable change is that this is the first Z Series model to support an interchangeable lens system, giving users more flexibility when deployed in many different spaces. The FP-ZUH12000 uses a 0.8-inch Texas Instruments DLP HEP DMD chip combined with a laser light source, giving a resolution of 3,840 × 2,400. Fujifilm also said that it has improved the optical system to increase contrast, color reproduction and gradation better, and integrated 5 familiar Film Simulation modes from the camera array including PROVIA, Velvia, ETERNA, CLASSIC CHROME and CLASSIC Neg. FP-ZL034 continues to use Fujifilm's exclusive folded-type rotatable lens mechanism, allowing 360 degree rotation and shifting the image up to 60% vertically, 30% horizontally without moving the camera body. This lens can also create images up to 400 inches from a distance of about 3 meters, suitable for exhibition spaces, museums or showrooms that need to make the most of the area. Fujifilm does not seem to focus on the brightness race but rather on installation flexibility. Combining the removable lens system with the folded-type rotatable lens mechanism - which is still the difference of the Z Series - helps one camera body to meet more types of presentation spaces, from meeting rooms, auditoriums to exhibition areas or immersive experience spaces. Compared to the FP-ZUH6000, the new generation not only increases brightness from 6,000 to 12,000 lumens but also significantly expands deployment capabilities thanks to the new lens system, while still keeping the size quite compact with a weight of about 18.1 kg. Fujifilm said the FP-ZUH12000 and three optional lenses will start selling from August 6. However, up to now, the company has not yet announced the official selling price for the camera body as well as each included lens.
