Meta suddenly launched cheap smart glasses

Meta has just introduced the Meta Glasses line of smart glasses, developed with eyeglass manufacturer EssilorLuxottica.
The product is priced from 299 USD, 80 USD lower than its predecessor. The move represents an effort to expand the user base for devices that integrate artificial intelligence (AI).

Meta Glasses includes three frame styles. Among them, Adventurer and Fury are priced at 299 USD, while Starfire - the collaborative design version with Kylie Jenner - is sold for 399 USD (about 10.5 million VND).
Users can choose from 26 different configurations of color and lens type, including close-up glasses, polarized glasses and photochromic glasses. Meta also added a three-way adjustable nose pad to increase the fit for many faces.

In terms of features, Meta Glasses is not equipped with a display screen on the lenses. Instead, the device integrates a camera, ear speaker and microphone system to support hands-free operations.
Users can make calls, voice control, take photos and record videos. According to Meta, the glasses last about 8 hours, while the included charging case provides up to 40 additional hours of operation.
The device is integrated with Muse Spark, a multi-modal AI model developed by Meta. Through the button on the glasses frame, users can activate the AI assistant to recognize scenes, take photos or translate directly in 14 newly added languages.
Meta said it will soon add audio directions for pedestrians. The product is currently available for sale on the company's website and some retail systems such as Amazon and Best Buy.
