Microsoft just killed Edge Drop: A pretty good file transfer feature

Surfing Twitter, I see many people complaining about Microsoft Edge 152 officially killing the Drop feature. Lately, I've seen Microsoft keep Copilot and AI coming in, gradually eliminating really useful utilities like Collections, Sidebar and now Drop. Personally, Drop is one of the biggest reasons to keep Edge on my device. It acts as an extremely convenient personal chat frame, allowing you to quickly drag and drop text, images, videos or even files from one device to another as quickly as sending via regular messaging applications. All data syncs directly via OneDrive.

Microsoft explains that the removal of Drop is to simplify the browser, but I find it is the Copilot features that appear densely from new tabs to new menus here and there that make Edge confusing. Get rid of a quick, cross-platform file sharing tool and add...

For those of you who have previously saved text notes in Drop, please note that the text format will not automatically save to OneDrive like images or attachments. If you do not promptly click export to txt file before updating, it will be completely lost. Do any of you guys often use Edge Drop to send data back and forth between devices like me?
