I had the opportunity to experience ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026

I had the opportunity to experience ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026

It turns out that I also have the fate of using a two-screen laptop from ASUS. Previously it was the ROG Zephyrus DUO 2026 and now it is the ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026. This laptop belongs to the Zenbook laptop line specializing in beautiful design, high portability and strong enough performance to meet users' daily work. I am a person who often works on many websites at the same time to easily follow and type content. That's also the reason why I really like working on a laptop + portable monitor combo, specifically the 14-inch MacBoo Prok with a 16-inch LG gram +view screen. But carrying a combo with a weight of ~2.29 kg in a backpack causes me a lot of shoulder pain.

In the past, I saw Mr. Hiep's work combo so I liked it and bought an LG mobile screen. But at that time, I didn't think about bringing it to work every day... This is where ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 develops its strengths because this laptop integrates two 14-inch screens in one body with a weight of only 1.65 kg - 640 g lighter than the 14-inch MacBook Pro + LG gram +view 16-inch combo. Of course, because this is a Windows laptop (different from macOS), I struggled a bit to get used to the key combinations and operations to optimize daily work.

The weight of the ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is almost similar to the 14-inch MacBook Pro I am using.

The hinge part of the ASUS Zenboo DUO 2026 is also very firmly machined and I can clearly feel that when opening / closing the laptop. ASUS shares that Zenbook DUO 2026 offers many usage scenarios to suit a variety of user needs, but I only need one style - placing the two screens vertically (top & bottom). When the device is in this state, I can easily follow the content on the two screens by gliding my eyes from top to bottom and vice versa.

The experience of using ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 with two screens above and below is very convenient and optimized for your work.

I like the small rubber feet on the bottom of the Zenbook DUO 2026, which limits slipping and scratches when I prop the device up on a flat surface. In the case of setting up the device with two screens on the left and right, my neck has to rotate more to view the content. Not to mention, the 14-inch screen when placed vertically also displays less content than horizontally.

This is also a way to use ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026, but I don't like this state because the screen displays little content. One function that I really like on ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is the ability to drag and drop, split windows and transfer content to each screen very quickly and conveniently. I don't need to move the mouse to move the window position of an app to a specific screen.

ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026's software has a built-in function that helps you easily move the application window to one of the two screens when necessary. For me, the keyboard of the ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 provides a good typing experience, the keys are bouncy and the travel is not shallow. The plus point is that this keyboard has two connection methods (Pogo pin and Bluetooth) allowing me to have two usage situations: placing the keyboard on a screen or separating the keyboard.

I myself am not a difficult person when using laptop keyboards, so I find the typing experience on ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 good enough. Before placing the keyboard on a screen of the Zenbook DUO 2026, I have a habit of cleaning the bottom of the keyboard to avoid small foreign objects or stains affecting the screen display quality. Besides, I also take the trouble to clean the laptop screen after using it.

Because ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is a high-value laptop, especially the screen, I maintain the habit of cleaning the device thoroughly. The trackpad on the ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 also provides a comfortable mouse hovering experience thanks to its smooth, rough-finished surface. But the response speed is still not fast and smooth enough like when I use the trackpad on the MacBook.

For me, the hovering experience on the trackpad of ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is okay. ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 also comes with a very well-finished ASUS Pen 3.0 stylus accessory, a great writing experience, a magnetic charging mechanism and a very interesting dock. It's just a pity that my work rarely requires taking notes with a pen and I don't have... artistic talent. See more: The ASUS Pen 3.0 stylus is beautifully crafted but unfortunately I rarely use it.

Even though the ASUS Pen 3.0 is really good, I rarely use the device with the Zenbook DUO 2026. Actually, the price of ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026 is a big obstacle for users. This is also a major weakness of the device that I must acknowledge. Hopefully in the future, the price of innovative products like this will increasingly decrease to reach more users. These are my experiences after a period of using ASUS Zenbook DUO 2026. What are you impressed with about this laptop? Please share your thoughts in the comments section at the end of the article!
