Some iPhone 18 Pro have audio errors

In social networking groups and forums, users are currently complaining that the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max phone speakers have an annoying buzzing sound. One Reddit member described it as "like someone unplugging the AUX cable and hearing a small clicking sound" every time they make a call, listen to music, switch apps, or receive notifications.

On the technology site MacRumors, at least 20 people using the new generation iPhone said they had speaker problems. Some have restored factory settings but the condition has not improved, while others say they can temporarily fix it by going to Settings and turning off the sound when pressing the keyboard.

A person said on the Apple forum that he went to the Apple Store to ask about the problem with the iPhone 18 Pro Max and was told by the staff that the error may be related to the software. However, when updating to the latest iOS 27.0.1, the problem still did not improve.

Apple has not yet commented.

Previously, Apple also fixed some problems on the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max duo through iOS 27.0.1, such as a sudden restart error when Face ID authentication failed. In addition, the update addresses the color issue when iPhone 18 Pro takes photos in 2x zoom mode, f/1.48 aperture in low light conditions, or opening both the Notification Center and Control Center simultaneously can cause the touch screen to become unresponsive.

iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max were launched on September 9 and will be available on the market from September 18. Apple focused on upgrading the camera, bringing custom aperture to the phone for the first time, with a 48-megapixel Fusion camera using a laser-cut six-blade aperture system. The duo also improved battery capacity, designed a smaller Dynamic Island and equipped with an A20 Pro chip manufactured on a 2 nm process.
