Some impressions after using the inphic A9 Explorer mouse

On a normal day like any other, I happened to see a strange mouse model on my desk at the company. With my curious nature, I also tried to find out more information and realized that this is a product from inphic, specifically called inphic A9 Explorer. This mouse model was bought by Tu from Taobao so I borrowed it for a few days to experience it.

The mouse surface is tilted gradually to the right.

inphic A9 Explorer also features gaming details and futuristic technology. Typically, the transparent cover has RGB LED lights that remind me of the energy storage area that supplies power to the mouse.

Right below the DPI adjustment button are three white LED strips that display the mouse's battery status.

I like the feeling of holding mouse models with thumb rests like the inphic A9 Explorer. The first time I pressed the left/right mouse button of the inphic A9 Explorer, I wondered why the gaming mouse had such silent buttons (Silent Click). When learning more about the product, it turns out that the manufacturer targets the device for office use.

Actually, inphic also has the A9 Explorer Pro model (on the right) that caters to gaming needs with higher DPI, Polling Rate and clicky buttons. Source: inphic. By the way, talking about the two buttons on the left edge of the inphic A9 Explorer, I can assign functions to the keys through the inphic software. But the problem is... this application only supports Windows and I am a macOS user. Too ironic! Fortunately, I found a third-party software called LinearMouse with similar functions. Thanks to the help from the software, I can make good use of the Inphic A9 Explorer for daily tasks such as typing content, editing images and videos.

When using inphic A9 Explorer for typing content, I will set the functions for the two keys to Copy (cmd + C) and Paste (cmd + V), respectively.

In case I edit video with CapCut, I will set these two keys as equal sign "=" and minus sign "-" to adjust the video timeline faster. Besides work-related tasks, inphic A9 Explorer also serves well the needs of playing Wuthering Waves game on MacBook. Even though I connected the Bluetooth mouse to the computer, the response speed was not too slow, just enough for my "nourishing" combo play.

Speaking of fun, I play WuWa games at a chill level, not at a "hard core" level.

Besides Bluetooth 5.0 connection, inphic A9 Explorer also has a 2.4 GHz mode with a receiver on the bottom to help you have more usage situations when needed. It's possible that the inphic A9 Explorer has a built-in battery saving feature because the mouse automatically disconnects from Bluetooth if you don't use the mouse for more than 5 minutes. At that time, I had to use the mouse switch to turn it off and on again to connect to the computer, which was a bit annoying. I guess this is most likely the device's battery saving mechanism and can be adjusted through software, unfortunately... I don't have a Windows machine to verify that.
