Should I buy a Xiaomi air conditioner or a 'Japanese' product?

I am reviewing a new Xiaomi 1.5 HP air conditioner model that sells for less than 10 million VND. With this amount of money, you can buy a Japanese product with quite a lot of technology, while buying 100% new from Daikin or Panasonic is just the basic lines. My friends said I should use Japanese products because they are more durable and the quality is confirmed, while looking at the design, I like Xiaomi more, because they are new.
