Many iPhone users encounter battery drain and device overheating errors

However, many users report that their iPhone battery drains faster after updating to the new operating system version. Some comments even say that the device becomes hotter even when not in use.

"After updating iOS 26.5.2, my iPhone encountered a series of new problems. The phone warmed up unusually quickly. Battery life also decreased significantly compared to before," an account shared on the Reddit forum.

A survey by Dan Tri reporters at a number of iPhone groups on Facebook showed that a group of iPhone users also encountered battery drain and device overheating after upgrading to iOS 26.5.2. However, this is not a common error and does not appear on all devices.

According to PhoneArena, the problem may originate from certain applications that users install on the device. Some old applications may encounter errors and conflicts with the operating system, thereby draining the battery and increasing the temperature.

Currently, Apple has not given any official feedback on battery drain and device overheating errors on iOS version 26.5.2.
