Review of Filter Style coffee, Nespresso's new coffee capsules

Hello everyone, it's been a few weeks since I moved to a new house. In the old house, there was no place to display it. When I moved to the new house, my wife gave me a cabinet to store some coffee dishes so I could have some free time to live virtual. But the picture is not enough, there are many items "lent by you" that have not arrived yet.

As you can see, I keep the items I use every day on the open shelf below, while the items I use occasionally are placed on top. Because I go to work, in the morning I usually use Nespresso Essenza Mini to have quick coffee in a few seconds. Only on weekends or holidays do I slow down with other brewing methods. There is also a fairly detailed article on why mod Long uses Nespresso. I think my opinion is the same as mod Long.

Last week, when I stopped by to recycle capsules, I saw that Nespresso has a new product line called Filter Style. I'm ready to take it home and try it. This product is new, guys. Currently, Nespresso capsules are used to brew Espresso or Lungo, while Filter Style is used to brew coffee like pour over.

The current flavors of Nespresso Filter Style are Mild (gentle) and Intense (strong).

Nespresso capsules are all made in Switzerland. This model is new so the extra label should be printed on the tablet box as well. Each tablet bar contains 10 tablets. Reference price per tablet is 20,000,900 VND.

I have two jars of tablets to differentiate, the Filter Style tablets are in square boxes, the Ispirazione line tablets like Napoli, Roma etc are in round jars.

However, you don't need to be afraid of being mistaken, because although they are the same size, it is easy to recognize the type of capsule, the Filter Style type will have an additional aluminum tab for you to peel off when making coffee.

How to make Filter Style with a Nespresso machine: Peel off the aluminum foil, put the capsule into the machine, press the Lungo button, then press the Espresso button.

Peel off the aluminum foil and you can smell the aroma of coffee.

The Mild flavor has a light scent, the Intense flavor has a slightly richer scent.

Starting the machine takes about 30 seconds, press the Lungo button then press the Espresso button and you're done.

It takes about 1 minute to get a cup of filter coffee about 150ml instead of 5-10 minutes for pour over coffee. Very convenient, especially for coffee addicts who are busy in the morning.

The taste of Nespresso Filter Style is that it is gentle and elegant, the body will be thinner than its pour over counterparts (usually with a ratio of 1:12 - 1:15). Although the body is thin, the aroma and acidity of the coffee are quite clear.

Those who like light, slightly floral scents or cereal flavors will probably like the Filter Style Mild flavor. If you like a richer taste, Intense will probably be suitable. I drink it depending on the day, whatever flavor I find is quite good. Especially its convenience.

Every morning I drink coffee after breakfast, but to be honest, I don't always have time to grind it and brew it. Coffee lovers understand that, no one can spin forever. There are times when you just want coffee to drink as quickly as possible.

And it doesn't always have to be Espresso or Lungo, a lot of times I need a filter to sip at work. This meets my need for quickness and stability.

I find the aroma and flavor of Filter Style coffee to be different from the aroma and flavor of Ispirazione line tablets. It's softer, smoother. Perhaps due to the different design of Filter Style capsules, the type of coffee blend inside is also different, so the taste is light and fragrant, suitable for sipping.

If you are already using Nespresso coffee but don't know about Filter Style, you can try it out. If you don't know about Nespresso, please refer to my old article about this quick coffee machine that only takes a few seconds to make drinking coffee. Thank you for reading the article and see you again in upcoming coffee topics!
