Roborock launches Saros 20 Flow Complete: Switch to roller cleaning, 36,000 Pa suction and 8.8 cm ledge climbing
Following information from the IFA 2026 event in Berlin, I saw that Roborock has just announced the Saros 20 Flow Complete vacuum cleaning robot model. Unlike the Saros 20 version that uses two rotating cleaning discs launched earlier this year, the Flow version completely switches to a rolling cleaning roller mechanism. Personally, I find that switching from rotating rags to real-time self-washing rollers is the right direction, helping the floor clean more evenly instead of just dragging a damp rag around the house.
Self-cleaning SpiraFlow 2.0 roller and 36,000 Pa suction power
The most important change on this machine lies in the SpiraFlow 2.0 cleaning system. The 270 mm long roller is equipped with 16 continuous pressure water jets, rotating at a speed of 240 revolutions per minute and pressing down on the floor with a force of 15N. Thanks to the continuously flushing of clean water and the immediate removal of dirty water, the roller is always in a clean state to handle sticky stains such as ketchup or coffee without worrying about leaving streaks. The company says this design helps reduce about 30% of water stains after wiping. When encountering carpet, the roller can be raised 15mm to avoid wetting the fabric fibers, while the mop cluster spreads out an additional 44mm.
As for vacuuming, the HyperForce motor reaches a suction force of up to 36,000 Pa. The machine combines a DuoDivide double main brush system and side brushes with the ability to lift and lower, helping to minimize the situation of pet hair or long hair getting tightly wrapped in the rotating shaft, which I often find most annoying when using a robot vacuum cleaner every day.
The LDS radar cluster protrudes and has the ability to climb ledges up to 8.8 cm
Regarding navigation, the detail I appreciate is the RetractSense technology. The LDS laser tower above can automatically retract when the robot enters low areas such as under beds or sofas, helping the machine body maintain a thinness of only 8.98 cm. When out in the open space, the radar cluster rises again to scan the entire scene.
In addition, the AdaptiLift Traverse 3.0 lifting chassis allows the robot to climb over double doors up to 8.8 cm high. This is a very practical upgrade for houses with room dividers or high bathroom steps, where most robots today have to stand and watch in defeat. The obstacle recognition system uses VertiBeam structured lights combined with RGB and AI cameras, recognizes more than 300 types of small obstacles from 3x3 cm in size, supports pet-friendly features and offline voice commands.
RockDock washing station with 100 degrees Celsius hot water
This year's included RockDock charging station also has a major upgrade in automation capabilities. Notably, the roller washing feature with hot water up to 100 degrees Celsius helps dissolve grease better than regular warm water and drying with hot air at 63 degrees Celsius to prevent moldy smells. The station also automatically fills the robot with warm water, mixes floor cleaning solution, cleans the laundry tray and vacuums trash into a bag that can be used for about 65 days. The 6,400 mAh battery on the device takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge, enough to clean a floor area of about 200 m².
In the European market, Saros 20 Flow Complete has a listed price of about 1,499 Euro, while the price for members in Germany is about 929 Euro. I find this to be a very suitable model for those who prioritize deep cleaning of hard floors and have homes with many complex steps.
