Roborock has just launched F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2: Upgraded 180 degree Celsius steam and edge-to-edge cleaning arm

IFA 2026 is taking place in Berlin and Roborock has just officially introduced the F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 handheld floor vacuum cleaner. Compared to the previous Ultra version launched at IFA 2025, I personally think the company is focusing on solving the two most annoying points when using a vacuum cleaner indoors: long-lasting dry stains and cleaning close to the wall.

Twitter treats grease and dry stains with 180 degree steam

The most notable change in the Gen 2 version is the VaporFlow 2.0 steam system. The steam is pushed to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius with a flow of 5,000 mg per minute, 2.5 times stronger than the previous generation's 2,000 mg. There is a button on the handle to instantly activate this steam flow, which is quite convenient when encountering food stains that have been dry for many days.

The AI ​​arm wipes close to the edges and the roller detangles the hair

One detail I find very practical is the SensEdge AI mechanical arm. When pushing the machine close to the wall, the system will automatically lower the arm within 0.18 seconds to clean 0 mm close to the edge on all three sides, while also removing excess water to limit leaving streaks of water after passing through.

For hair loss or pet hair tangled in the roller, the machine uses a dual shark-tooth JawScrapers roller structure to brush and cut hair into the suction nozzle, helping to minimize the need for users to manually remove hair after each cleaning session.

Ability to fold flat 180 degrees and long battery life

In terms of design, the body is about 12.5 cm thick and can be completely flat 180 degrees to slide deep under the bed or sofa. The water tank's center of gravity is placed low and combined with AI-assisted SlideTech 2.0 wheels help the feeling of pushing back and forth be quite gentle. The suction head also has a blue light to clearly illuminate fine dust on the floor.
