Samsung Galaxy S26 deeply discounted
Galaxy S26 is being offered by dealers at a price of 20.5 million VND for the 256GB version, 5.5 million VND lower than the listed price. The 512GB version was also adjusted down by 6 million VND, down to 26 million VND.
Talking to Dan Tri reporters, some dealers said that the standard Galaxy S26 product line recorded stable sales. However, the device has not made many breakthroughs compared to its predecessor.
"After about 4 months on the shelves, the Galaxy S26 product line received a positive response from the market. In particular, the Ultra version has the best sales. The sales of the standard and Plus versions are almost similar to the S25 generation," said a representative of Mobile America.
Also according to dealers, the high-end smartphone market is currently recording a trend of users spending more time using the device. Therefore, when deciding to upgrade, customers often prioritize choosing the most advanced product lines for long-term use.
This contributes to boosting sales for the S26 Ultra version. The shopping habits of Vietnamese users remain similar to previous years when the Galaxy S26 Ultra had superior sales compared to the remaining versions.
"Galaxy S26 Ultra is still the flagship version thanks to its advantages in photography capabilities and high-end configuration. The device accounts for about 70% of sales of the entire product line. Users still prioritize choosing the popular capacity version to balance usage needs and ownership costs," Mr. Phan Tran Thanh, deputy director of mobile phone industry at FPT Shop system, shared.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra version creates its own appeal when equipped with a screen integrated with Privacy Display technology (Active anti-peeping). Users can activate anti-peeping mode for each individual application, helping to protect maximum privacy even when using the device in public places.
The fact that sales focus mainly on the Ultra version also shows that the appeal of the two versions Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus is not really outstanding.
Most of the upgrades on these two models focus on configuration and hardware, while the changes in experience are not clear enough to motivate users who own previous generations to upgrade.
In the current price segment, the Galaxy S26 competes directly with rival iPhone 17. Besides, the device is also under pressure from a series of Android competitors such as vivo X300, OPPO Find X9s or Xiaomi 17.
In the context of the increasingly saturated high-end smartphone market, early price reductions can help stimulate short-term demand. However, the decisive factor still lies in the ability to create a big enough difference to convince users to upgrade, instead of just relying on discount programs after the product goes on sale.
