Samsung Galaxy Z8 Series sets pre-order record
Samsung Electronics announced record pre-order sales in Southeast Asia and Oceania after launching the Galaxy Z8. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra devices have increased by nearly 60% compared to the Galaxy Z Fold7. Users now have a few days left to enjoy pre-order incentives, before the early sale program ends on August 13.
According to the unit, since its launch, the Galaxy Z8 Series has received positive feedback from users globally. In Southeast Asia and Oceania, demand for these new devices is increasing. The Galaxy Z Fold8 has now become the most popular choice in the region, accounting for nearly 6 in 10 of all Galaxy Z8 devices ordered.
In Vietnam, after 6 days of opening pre-orders, Samsung's trio of 8th generation folding phones recorded a number of orders 2.4 times higher than the previous generation, of which the Galaxy Z Fold8 alone accounted for more than half. This printing result reflects consumers' favor for the new design.
According to color, Graphite Black and Lavender Purple are the most popular colors among Southeast Asian and Oceania consumers. Meanwhile, Shadow Purple and Graphite Black are popular options for Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Rosé Pink and Graphite Black are the leading colors for Galaxy Z Flip8.
Galaxy Z Fold8, optimized for content experiences that are popular with young people such as short videos, webtoon comics, games and e-books. The new design supports better viewing, reading and gaming experiences with a 4:3 ratio main screen. Weighing only 201 grams, this is Samsung's lightest Galaxy Z Fold ever.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra attracts users who prioritize work performance thanks to the large screen experience. The 8-inch main screen provides more space for multitasking, combined with an upgraded camera system to help users capture sharper images, more realistic colors and richer details.
Galaxy Z Flip8 is designed for users who value expressing their own identity on a compact device. This is the slimmest Flip model that Samsung has ever launched. With the redesigned FlexWindow secondary screen, users can access applications, view information quickly, perform operations and receive support right on the external screen.
The new foldable devices also support Smart Switch, allowing wireless data transfer via QR code and Quick Share, making sharing between iOS and Galaxy devices more convenient.
Along with the Galaxy Z8 series, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 to help make health and fitness management easier. Samsung said customers responded positively to the offers and promotions. In Vietnam, from July 22 to August 17, users participating in the pre-order program will receive an old exchange promotion with a discount of up to 3 million VND or a discount voucher of 2 million VND, with 0% interest installment payments, with a term of up to 24 months. In addition, customers who order early will also receive a screen replacement protection offer within 2 years.
Samsung Care+ offers a protection package that includes quick repairs for accidental damage, extended warranties, and support from certified experts both domestically and internationally. Customers who buy a folding screen device on the website and sign up for the Samsung Care+ monthly package will receive the first 3 months of protection for free.
