Samsung and Google launched a preemptive strike against Apple

(Dan Tri) - Apple will introduce the first folding screen iPhone in September. In that context, both Samsung and Google decided to launch a preemptive strike against their opponents when announcing new folding phone lines before Apple.
Accordingly, Samsung recently confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22 in London. The Korean technology giant is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip8 series along with two different versions of the Galaxy Z Fold8.

New products from Samsung are expected to be equipped with screen technology that helps erase creases and an advanced camera system. These upgrades could create a barrier to go head-to-head with the folding iPhone.
Not staying out of the race, Google has also set August 12 to introduce the Pixel 11 generation, including the Pixel 11 Pro Fold model. Holding the event about a month earlier than Apple shows Google's determination to attract consumers' attention.
Google's new folding phone model is expected to be significantly thinner than its predecessor. Design changes are intended to optimize user experience, thereby increasing competitiveness with folding iPhones.
The onslaught from competitors is creating considerable pressure for Apple. According to many leaked sources, the company will launch the first folding screen iPhone in September. Apple will face opponents who have many years of experience in refining the design and handling technical issues of folding screens.

According to MacRumors, the folding iPhone will have a screen of about 7.8 inches when unfolded. This size is equivalent to the screen on the iPad mini model. The selfie camera will be placed in the upper left corner of the screen.
Meanwhile, the device's external screen is 5.5 inches in size. This screen has a shorter and more square ratio than current iPhones. This design is similar to the design of a passport.
The fact that companies simultaneously launched early attacks shows that they want to dominate market share and shape market standards before Apple can set foot on the new playing field.
