Samsung just launched Galaxy A18 with A08: Has AI, software updates for up to 6 years

Samsung has just officially launched the Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08 duo in Vietnam. What caught my attention the most about this launch is not the race for huge configurations, but the way the company brings software experiences and long-term support commitments that are only available on expensive devices to the popular segment.
Galaxy A18 with large Super AMOLED screen and fiberglass back
This year's Galaxy A18 is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, running the Helio G99+ chip combined with LPDDR5 RAM memory standard. The experience of surfing content or watching videos on this panel is definitely still a familiar strong point of the A series. The device also has the RAM Plus feature to expand virtual memory when multitasking is needed or can be turned off to save storage space.

In terms of design, I quite like the fact that Samsung switched to using a glass fiber-reinforced polymer back instead of the previous plastic material, making the body thin but feeling sturdy and more resistant to force. The rear camera cluster includes a 50MP main sensor, 5MP ultra wide-angle camera and 2MP macro, meeting all basic daily shooting angles. The device has three versions with prices ranging from 6.59 million VND for the 4GB RAM version to 8.49 million VND for the 8GB RAM version.

Galaxy A08 hits hard on its durable 6,000mAh battery
With the Galaxy A08, the point that impresses me most is the battery capacity of up to 6,000mAh. For those who need an extra device or buy it for parents or students to use continuously all day without bothering to charge it, this battery is a huge plus.

The device also uses Helio G99+ chip, LPDDR5 RAM and 50MP main camera with 2MP depth camera. The starting price of the A08 is from 4.79 million VND for the 64GB version and 5.59 million VND for the 128GB version. At this price range, keeping a stable configuration and comfortable battery life is a very practical direction.

Bring AI features to low-cost devices and support updates for up to 6 years
What I appreciate most about both A18 and A08 is the software support policy. Both machines are committed to upgrading up to 6 generations of operating systems and 6 years of security updates, come with Knox Vault hardware security chip and IP64 water and dust resistance standard. This is a very rare thing in the low- and mid-range segment, helping users feel secure in using the device for a long time without fear of being abandoned.
