Samsung has just entered the industrial laundry and laundry model market in Vietnam

The brand, which is familiar with TVs, smartphones and household appliances, is now entering the industrial laundry market, targeting the growing laundry model in Vietnam. When mentioning Samsung, most people will think of phones, TVs, refrigerators or family washing machines. But this week, Samsung Vietnam has officially introduced a line of industrial washing machines and dryers for commercial laundry and self-service laundry (laundromat) models. In my opinion, the notable thing here is not that Samsung is selling a new product line, but that the company is entering a niche but rapidly growing market in Vietnam.

Samsung said that the size of the domestic industrial laundry and drying market is currently estimated at about 205 million USD and is still growing steadily. If you pay attention, in recent years you will see more and more self-service laundry and drying shops appearing in big cities, especially around residential areas, apartments, universities or areas where foreigners live. Unlike family washing machines, what investors are interested in in this segment is not AI or smart features for end users. What they need is a machine that is durable, operates continuously, is easy to maintain, and most importantly, has the ability to recover capital quickly. That's also the reason Samsung focuses on talking a lot about operational aspects instead of just technical specifications.

Technically, Samsung brings familiar technologies to home machines such as Direct Drive motor, VRT+ vibration reduction system or Bubble Technology. However, this time they are optimized for continuous exploitation environments with much higher frequency than household use needs. The dryer is also equipped with a Vent Sensor that can monitor airflow status and remind users to clean the filter when necessary. This is a small detail but can help reduce the risk of performance degradation or problems arising from untimely maintenance. Another detail that shows that Samsung is clearly targeting the laundry model is the design of stacking washing machines and dryers to save space. For premises in urban areas, where rental costs are increasingly high, optimizing each square meter of use can directly affect business efficiency. Source
