Apple's most valuable product in recent years: Screen cleaning cloth, igie

I bought this scarf when Apple started selling it and I use it until now. Compared to all the products I have purchased in recent years, this is the most valuable item. I not only clean the screens of Apple products but also expand to products of other brands or other categories such as helmet rain glasses, computer screens, car glasses...

Feeling in hand from day one

Apple's Polishing Cloth isn't your typical flimsy microfiber. It is moderately thick, soft but sturdy, and the surface has a characteristic smooth feel, a bit more like a high-end fabric than a regular rag. The Apple logo is delicately embossed in one corner, just enough to recognize this is a genuine product without affecting use. Size is about 16x16 cm, just right to hold, not too large to cause bulkiness, nor too small to cause having to clean multiple times. The first time I used it, I was surprised. Just swipe a few times, fingerprints, grease and dirt on the MacBook screen disappear almost completely, leaving no streaks or scratching the anti-glare coating. The nano-texture screen, which is quite "difficult" with regular towels, becomes easy with this towel.

Long-term experience on Apple devices and products with screens, glasses, etc. that adhere to fingerprints

After nearly 5 years, I still use the original scarf from day one. It has cleaned many generations of iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and even Studio Display screens. What I like most is that it never leaves lint or obscures the oleophobic layer on the touch screen. Many cheap microfiber towels will start to "fray" after a few months of use, making the screen dirtier the more you clean it. Apple's scarf is the opposite - the more I use it, the more I feel it "understands" the screen. I also use it to clean the windshield of my helmet and it is the "cleaner" that makes me most satisfied. Then clean the TV, clean the car glass, clean the screen...

Compared to regular microfiber towels and 3M specialized towels, Bosch...

I have used many different types of wipes. From microfiber pads costing tens of thousands, to specialized towels from 3M for electronic devices, or towels from Bosch used in industry and automobiles. At first, I thought companies specializing in technical materials like 3M or Bosch would make better things, but after a long period of actual comparison, Apple towels are still better in many important points. Regular microfiber towels are often loose, easily fray after a few washes, and often leave small streaks or lint on the screen. 3M towels specialized for electronic devices are soft and absorb dust well, but the "sticky" feeling on the screen surface is not as uniform as the Apple towel. Sometimes I have to wipe more times to completely remove thick fingerprints. The Bosch towel I used to use (mainly used for glass and smooth surfaces) is a bit "harder", suitable for car glass or hard surfaces, but when cleaning touch screens or glasses with anti-oil coating, it easily creates a stronger friction feeling than necessary. On the contrary, Apple towels have a very special softness and "slipness". It has just enough friction to remove grease and fingerprints without having to press hard. The fabric surface is smooth, has little lint, and most importantly, after many uses and washings, it still retains its original feel. I've tried wiping the same screen with all three types of towels under the same conditions: the Apple towel usually gives the cleanest results after just 1-2 swipes, while the other towels sometimes still have light smudges.

Durability and storage

After nearly 5 years, the towel still retains its softness and good dust absorption ability. I washed it a few times following Apple's instructions: hand wash with dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and let dry naturally for at least 24 hours. Every time I wash it, the towel is like new. Does not become hard, does not lose the ability to clean. Compared to cheap microfiber towels (which usually only last a few months to a year and are fibrous, dirty and ineffective), the Apple towel is really "expensive". Calculating the cost per year of use is extremely cheap, not to mention the effort and time I save because I don't have to constantly change towels. Even compared to specialized towels from 3M or Bosch - which are expected to be more durable and effective - I still find that Apple towels maintain their form and effectiveness longer under my daily use conditions. This is the first time or the first product I have used for many years and am still satisfied, still not lost or lost. But often, these products are easily lost. Because I use it a lot, I keep it in a place where it won't easily get lost.

Why do I consider this the most valuable item?

In recent years, I've bought a lot of technology items: headphones, mice, keyboards, tripods, lights, filming accessories... Many things seemed interesting at first but after a few months they sat in the closet. As for this scarf, it's the opposite - the more you use it, the more valuable it becomes. It's not a temporary "hype" product, but something that actually solves everyday problems in an effective and lasting way. The price at launch may surprise many people, but if you look at it from a long-term experience perspective, I find it completely reasonable. It brings a clean, professional and safe feel to expensive equipment. More importantly, it proves that Apple not only sells expensive hardware, but also takes care of the smallest details in the user experience. If you own technology devices with screens or glass (especially those with high-end screens), or simply want a really good quality and durable cleaning cloth, I think this Apple Screen Cleaning Cloth is worth buying. Sometimes the seemingly simplest items bring the most lasting value. For me, Apple's screen cleaning cloth is one of those typical examples.
