Sony Xperia 1 VIII arrives in Vietnam: Confronting iPhone 17 Pro Max, Galaxy S26 Ultra
(Dan Tri) - In the Vietnamese market, Sony Xperia 1 VIII is offered for sale at a price of 39 million VND. The product competes with competitors such as iPhone 17 Pro Max, Galaxy S26 Ultra, vivo X300 Pro or OPPO Find X9 Pro.
The product has many changes in appearance compared to its predecessor. The camera cluster is designed as a square block placed at the left corner, instead of the lenses arranged vertically as before. This type of design helps Sony products become different from previous generations.

The camera system of the device includes the main lens, super wide-angle lens and telephoto lens all with 48MP resolution.
In particular, the telephoto camera has a focal length of 70mm with 2.9x optical zoom capability. Sony says this sensor is 1/1.56 inch in size, four times larger than the previous generation. This allows the product to take better photos of distant objects, even in low light conditions.
Xperia 1 VIII inherits many AI features from the company's Alpha camera line. Besides, the device also supports the Xperia Intelligence feature, capable of analyzing the context of the photo, thereby providing appropriate photography suggestions.
On the front, Sony remains loyal to the familiar design style with relatively thick top and bottom bezels. The top bezel is the area containing the front camera and sensors. In return, this design helps the machine's appearance become seamless and without defects.
The device integrates Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB RAM and 256GB memory. The included battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh, supports 30W fast charging. The device is installed on the Android 16 platform, mainly focusing on AI features from Google.
