Change your working angle for a happier life

Have you ever ended a workday with a sore back, a sore neck, or a sharp pain in your shoulders and neck? I used to be like that too. We often take great care of our appearance: choosing a nice outfit, a good laptop, or the latest iPad. However, the most important thing, spinal health, seems to have been forgotten. I have been researching for many years to find solutions to protect everyone's long-term health, let's find out together ^_^

The bowed position puts pressure on the spine

Whenever we are engrossed in a project or watching a good movie, we often unconsciously bend our necks. According to medical research, when you bow your head like that, the pressure on the cervical spine increases many times the actual weight of the head. (It is estimated that the neck can bear up to 27kg of weight, according to reports from medical experts around the world) Your body begins to respond with fatigue and restless nights due to stiff shoulders and neck. That is a warning bell that we should not ignore. If this continues, sooner or later you will need to see a doctor...

Change your perspective to work happier

I realized that to go a long way with creative work or office work, taking care of your health doesn't need something too big, it doesn't necessarily require an expensive Ergonomics chair or a fancy lifting table. Sometimes, it just starts with raising your desktop to eye level...

Solutions from Laptop Stands and Tablet Stands

Equipping a laptop stand or tablet stand is a great idea and very economical compared to a raised table or an ergonomic chair.

The type of laptop stand I use here is aluminum. I recommend that those who have not used it and intend to buy it should also use aluminum, because it is sturdy and does not vibrate causing discomfort. Foldable and compact, easy to take with you anywhere.

The ventilated rear position helps keep the Laptop cooler With a simple Laptop stand, you will also see how to protect the spine that MOD Le Huyen Van shared through this article. As in the picture below, you will see that Ms. Van can maintain a straight posture, protecting her spine for a long time.

My type of tablet stand is similar to the laptop stand, and can also be folded and carried away. Structures made of aluminum are my preferred choice. As shared above, you should also choose hard aluminum types and test for vibration and load resistance before buying. Any size iPad or Android tablet can be used, as long as you ask the shop about the load capacity. Here I use Samsung's Galaxy Tab with a 12-inch screen size so it's quite heavy.

Wireless Keyboard and Wireless Computer Mouse

To achieve optimal efficiency when using a stand, don't forget to equip a separate keyboard and mouse set with wireless connection. This combination creates a perfect combo to protect your hands and spine, helping you work comfortably after many hours no matter where you are.

Love yourself from the simplest things

Monitor stands or peripheral devices are, after all, just support items. But the real meaning lies in the moment you take care of your own health and that of your loved ones. I have spent many years researching and learning from many "seniors" to share health protection experiences with relatives, colleagues and even interns at the company I work for. Some people say my device is "bulky" and ostentatious, but I don't care about what they say. What I care about is the health of myself and young people who are leaving school for the first time and starting to sit in an office chair.

My previous upgrades were quite cumbersome but aimed at protecting health

Don't let your spine do the talking

Instead of turning to medicine or a doctor when your spine-related pain has progressed, why not start changing your work angle today? Let every hour sitting in front of the computer screen no longer be a pain, but a time when we can live fully with passion and work. How is your work corner today? Do you feel comfortable yet?

And this is my current setup after many years of upgrading while working, still compact and still ensuring spinal health. (I work using the Remote tool so I don't need a laptop. Those who are interested can read the article about the Remote tool I use here) I'm Kim L, I share what I know to live healthier together every day.
