New revelation about folding iPhone

(Dan Tri) - Leaked information about the first folding screen iPhone continuously appears before its launch date.

In a recent share, Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman revealed that the folding screen iPhone (temporarily called iPhone Ultra) will support MagSafe charging.

"According to the information I know, this folding phone will support MagSafe charging. Apple has integrated this technology on the iPhone Air. Therefore, I see no reason why the company cannot bring this feature to its folding phone model," Gurman said.

In a post on social network Twitter, Evan Blass account shared a number of images of different color versions on the folding screen iPhone. Notably, the posted image shows that the folding iPhone will have 3 different color versions, including white, gray and red.

However, the post quickly encountered many mixed opinions. Mark Gurman also voiced doubts about the authenticity of these images.

"This is not an actual image of a folding screen iPhone. Furthermore, this device does not have red or green color options," Gurman shared.

According to Mark Gurman, for the foldable iPhone product line, Apple plans to stay away from flashy colors and stick to traditional tones like space gray and white.

In contrast, some previously leaked information suggested that the folding iPhone would not offer a black color option. Instead, the company will release a dark color version, Indigo.

It is expected that Apple will hold an event to launch a series of new products at 10:00 a.m. on September 9 (Pacific time), which is 0:00 a.m. on September 10 (Vietnam time). Here, the company will announce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and its first folding screen iPhone.

Apple is expected to release the first folding screen iPhone in the US market. After that, the company plans to launch product sales to key markets such as China in the next 2-3 months. The release in batches is said to be due to supply constraints and pricing issues.

In fact, this is not the first time Apple has applied the strategy of releasing new products in batches. When Vision Pro launched in February 2024, the device was initially only available in the US.

According to MacRumors, the folding iPhone will have a screen of about 7.8 inches when unfolded. This size is equivalent to the screen on the iPad mini model. The selfie camera will be placed in the upper left corner of the screen.

The device's external screen is 5.5 inches in size. This screen has a shorter and more square ratio than current iPhones. This design is similar to the design of a passport.
