New reveal of Apple's 20th anniversary iPhone

(Dan Tri) - Apple is said to be testing two new screen panels for the 20th anniversary iPhone line, expected to launch in 2027. The device has a larger screen, thinner bezels and Face ID hidden under the screen.

In a post on the social network Weibo, the Digital Chat Station account said Apple is researching two new screen panels for the 20th anniversary iPhone line.

According to this source, a panel measuring about 6.4 inches is expected to be equipped on the iPhone 20 Pro version (expected name). The remaining panel is 7 inches in size, most likely for the iPhone 20 Pro Max version.

According to many leaked sources, the screen size of the 20th anniversary iPhone line will increase slightly compared to the current generation. However, the overall size of the device is said to not change significantly thanks to the thinner screen bezel design and curved screen on all four sides.

This information is also consistent with previous rumors, claiming that Apple is developing an iPhone model with an almost borderless design, using four-sided curved glass to create a seamless visual effect.

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max currently have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens, respectively. If the leaked information is accurate, the 20th anniversary iPhone line will have a slightly larger screen.

Another notable upgrade is the Face ID system placed completely under the screen. Apple is said to be developing glass with high light transmittance so that infrared sensors can operate through OLED panels without affecting display quality.

According to Bloomberg, the 20th anniversary iPhone line will likely be equipped with the A21 chip produced on the 2nm process. In addition, the device is also expected to use a new generation mobile modem developed by Apple, promising to improve performance, save energy and extend battery life.

The 20th anniversary iPhone line is expected to launch in 2027, exactly two decades since Apple introduced the first iPhone in 2007. This is expected to be one of the iPhone's biggest upgrades in recent years.
