Tineco sells water purifiers and automatic ice makers in Vietnam

Globally famous for its floor cleaning equipment, but with water purifiers, Tineco just entered this industry in 2022 and only sells in China. Hydrate One Ice Master is the first model chosen by Tineco to bring to Vietnam. The product has many high-end features but costs over 20 million VND, targeting a niche segment, showing the company's caution in the fiercely competitive water purifier market in Vietnam with the presence of dozens of brands such as AOSmith, Panasonic, Philips, Toshiba, Karofi, Hoa Phat.

Instead of popular lines with the basic feature of simply RO filtration for direct drinking water, Hydrate One Ice Master integrates many other features such as automatic ice making, cold water, especially the ability to make instant hot water with the output water temperature at the same set level after just a few seconds. This feature allows users to quickly get water to make baby milk, make tea, or drink warm water with herbal teas without having to wait.

With the ice cube making function, the machine uses a double helix ice making system that can make ice in about 8 minutes. The stainless steel evaporator is manufactured to food grade standards to limit the risk of bacterial contamination during the ice making process in addition to using UV rays for additional disinfection. The machine will have separate water and ice dispensers on both sides of the body.

Hydrate One Ice Master uses a high-performance Rock-Core filter core that is introduced to kill 99.99% of bacteria thanks to the RO reverse osmosis membrane and Strontium natural mineralization technology at a concentration of 1.9 mg/liter. The core can filter 4,000 liters within two years. However, Tineco has not announced the selling price of the replacement core.

While most companies sell water purifiers that can be directly connected to the water source, Hydrate One Ice Master is a tabletop model with its own water tank, with a variety of installation locations such as on the tea table, kitchen table, bedroom, or office. However, the downside is that the tank has a capacity of 5 liters, which will require manual daily water replenishment for families of four or more members.

Tineco chose a model with many features like Hydrate One Ice Master to differentiate and increase competitiveness, but it also brought its own difficulties when the price was higher than the average water purifier on the market. Regular RO lines cost 5-10 million VND, devices with direct hot and cold water cost around 10 million VND, the highest is 15 million VND. Meanwhile, Tineco's products are up to 22.3 million VND.

According to data from market research company Euromonitor, Tineco has led the global wet and dry cleaning machine market for three consecutive years 2023, 2024, and 2025. Last year, the company captured 35% of the market share, far ahead of rivals Roborock and Dreame.
