Hi! The other day, I asked people on the DIY-Tool-Home Repair Group about where to buy wood in Saigon. Many people pointed to the area behind the District 5 post office. Indeed, this area sells a lot of wood and is easy to buy. Please note that there are many one-way streets here, you have to observe carefully, if it weren't for the man selling pushwood, you would have gone wrong.

I bought pallet bars 9-10cm wide, 1m3 long, 1 side planed, 1.5cm thick for 14,000 per bar (at Nhi Ha store in front of Vo Van Ket street). In general, the wood of the shops around here is quite straight and healthy, and can be pruned comfortably.

There are pallets, plywood, plywood, thick and thin wood of all sizes, and there are a few shops that have planing machines and cutting machines, so you can ask the seller to cut them to size.

In addition to wood, there are also many shops selling iron, aluminum, tools, etc. in general, very diverse.

I didn't buy too much so I brought it home myself. With a length of 1m3, I tied it diagonally and it was still compact. If you buy a lot or don't have experience carrying things, you should ask for a car to be safe.
