The General Secretary and President hope that Vietnamese intellectuals in Russia will promote scientific and technological connections
During a meeting with embassy officials and staff and the Vietnamese community in Russia on the evening of September 7, General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed that the Party and State always care and better protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Vietnamese community abroad, as well as create conditions for Vietnamese people abroad to become increasingly attached to their homeland, according to VNA.
The General Secretary and President said that in the coming time, the Party and State will continue to improve synchronous, open and breakthrough institutions, mechanisms and policies to connect, attract and effectively promote the resources of overseas Vietnamese, especially intellectuals, experts, businessmen, scientists and the young generation of Vietnamese people abroad.
General Secretary and President To Lam hopes that Vietnamese scientists, experts, and intellectuals in Russia will continue to promote the spirit of creativity, bravery and responsibility, and be a pioneering force connecting knowledge, science, technology and new cooperative initiatives.
Vietnamese businessmen in Russia continue to be the nucleus of promoting economic cooperation, trade, investment, connecting businesses of the two countries, contributing to expanding new areas of cooperation, suitable to the potential and development needs of both Vietnam and Russia.
Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Russia, said that people are always aware that every action and every job they do contributes to building the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

On the same day, General Secretary and President To Lam received Chairman of the Russian Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov. He said Vietnam is making efforts with the goal of completing the Museum of the Communist Party of Vietnam by 2030 towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The General Secretary and President look forward to continuing to receive Russia's support in exploiting documentary sources about Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, documents on relationships with the communist international community, the support of the Union of Twitter and socialist countries during the period of Vietnam's resistance war against the US and the period of building socialism in Vietnam, documents on Vietnam - Russia cooperation relations from 1991 to present are currently stored in museums and archives of the State.
