Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026 is about to launch in Vietnam, expected price is 1.2 billion VND

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 2026, the latest off-road SUV model in the Land Cruiser family, is preparing to be officially distributed in the Vietnamese market. After launching globally in Japan at the end of 2025 and starting to open for sale in Thailand - where it takes on the role of production and export to Southeast Asia, the car is receiving deposits from customers from domestic dealers. At the same time, Toyota Vietnam's fanpage also posted an image introducing this car model with the message that the car is about to be revealed. Up to now, images of the Cruiser FJ docking in Vietnam have also begun to appear, perhaps in the near future the model will be officially launched. The Land Cruiser FJ is positioned as the most compact version in the Land Cruiser product range, ranked below the Fortuner along with the Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser 300, targeting a group of customers who love off-road but still need a practical vehicle for daily use.

Regarding the exterior, the Land Cruiser FJ has a square style, reminiscent of classic Land Cruiser generations, especially the legendary FJ40. The front of the car stands out with a large grille with the Toyota logo, C-shaped daytime running lights, and two headlight cluster options: a nostalgic round style and a more modern square style - depending on the market and version applied by the manufacturer. The front and rear bumpers are designed as three-piece modules, making it convenient to replace each part if there is a collision during off-roading. The car uses 18-inch alloy wheels with 265/60R18 tires, with a full-sized spare tire hanging outside the horizontally opening rear door.

The interior space of the Land Cruiser FJ aims for simplicity and durability, combining the minimalism of the Hilux with the familiar layout of the Land Cruiser Prado. A 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch digital screen instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch central entertainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 6-speaker sound system, two-zone independent automatic air conditioning and a PM2.5 fine dust filter are the equipment mentioned on the car.

Regarding the engine, the Land Cruiser FJ uses a 2.7 liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, the same type as the engine equipped on the Toyota Fortuner in Vietnam, producing about 163-166 horsepower and maximum torque of about 245-246 Nm depending on the data announced in each market. Power is transmitted to the part-time four-wheel drive system through a 6-speed automatic transmission, allowing the driver to switch between fast one-wheel drive, fast two-wheel drive and slow two-wheel drive modes with the auxiliary gear lever, combined with a mechanical rear differential lock when needing to overcome difficult terrain.

Regarding chassis structure, Land Cruiser FJ continues to use a body-on-frame structure based on the IMV platform, similar to Hilux and Fortuner, instead of switching to a monocoque chassis like many current urban SUV models. This is a traditional factor that helps the Land Cruiser line in general have high durability and good load-bearing capacity. Double wishbone front suspension system, dependent rear suspension with 4-point link combined with coil springs. Front and rear brakes both use disc type. The vehicle's minimum ground clearance is about 245 mm, and the minimum turning radius is 5.5 m, helping the vehicle to be both capable of overcoming terrain and maneuvering when moving in urban areas.

The exterior is expected to have color options such as pearl white, black and copper brown. The official launch date in Vietnam has not yet been announced in detail by Toyota Vietnam. Information on the launch schedule and selling price is still in the updating stage from the company and the dealer system.
