Experience the Savi 6 e-reader: Deep Vietnamese, pocket-sized, readable in many places, convenient book storage

I am a beginner in the journey of reading books on electronic devices, and after doing some research, I chose to borrow Akishop's Savi 6 to experience it. This is a deeply Vietnameseized book reader, friendly to Vietnamese users.

Realistic reading experience
The first thing I want to talk about is the reading experience on Savi 6, because I have had quite a few good experiences with this device, it has a backlight, compact size, can be carried in many places, sharp screen, clearer reading and especially the experience of reading before bed.

Machine size
Savi 6 is the right size for a pocket, the back pocket of jeans, the front pocket of khaki pants, trousers, a small corner of a handbag to take to work, or like me, the pocket of the sports pants I wear every day.

As for me personally, 6" is the right size for the device to play the role of "a book reader that's always with you". During use, I almost always carry the device with me, from work to home, from home to work, when eating, or before going to bed.

Since then, my reading has become more concise, like pulling out my phone to look at it. If you come across a book that's too sticky to read, you no longer have to worry about where and when to read it. Just carry it with you, whenever you have time, just pull it out and read it.

Backlight
In order to be able to "just pick it up and read it at any time", adapting to a variety of environments is quite important. Because the nature of the e-ink screen is like real paper, but paper cannot be read in the dark...

Savi 6 solves this story with backlight, increasing or decreasing multiple levels of intensity, adjustable to suit many environmental conditions, yellow or white light.

The office in Tinhte usually has few lights on and is a bit dark. I have the desk lamp turned on, like the photo above. When reading, the light is a bit backlit, which can be a bit uncomfortable if I read for a long time. I turned on the light backlight, adjusted the color to slightly yellow, to match my desk lamp, it looked even, noticeably smoother, improving visual quality. The good thing is that if you adjust the light intensity appropriately, many times you won't realize there is a backlight.

Sure, the bedroom is dark, but I have a light night light on. If I only relied on this night light to read, it would be very bright, and very yellow. At this point, I will turn on the backlight to a slightly higher intensity, and adjust the color to be a little more yellow to make it more beautiful. Reading before bed is probably my favorite experience. Holding Savi 6, reading about 50 pages makes me feel sleepy and then fall asleep. It is helping me fall asleep on time and sleep better. Unlike a phone, the E-ink screen is like paper, the backlight of the device also has less blue light, so when reading, the eyes will be comfortable, the brain will relax, it will be easier to fall asleep, and when I look at my phone I will often stay awake very late.

Cafe Tinhte seems to be the simplest, with lots of ambient light, so I read it like a piece of paper, no need to turn on the backlight.

Sharpness
When I read at Cafe Tinhte, I focused and most clearly experienced the configuration of Savi 6, the E-Ink Carta screen is 1300, 300 ppi, the text is sharp, thin, "sharp as a knife", up close I can't see the jagged teeth.

To be honest, I have experienced quite a few cheap e-readers, using low-profile E-ink screens, seeing clearly jagged edges, and the handwriting is not sharp. Experiencing it is not too unpleasant, trying to read it is okay, but with anything, paper books are the same, beautiful printing, clear, sharp handwriting is always better to read.

Vietnameseization
During the process of using Savi 6, I 100% used Vietnamese on the computer. Difficult words were translated well and easily understood by the computer. This is a big plus point for Vietnamese people to use more easily, especially older people. From downloading books, logging in, installing, editing abc... everything I can read in Vietnamese, even if you don't know anything about e-readers, just pick it up and you can use it.

Design and grip
In terms of design, both the box and the Savi 6 machine have a national spirit trend, first of all, the box is decorated with bronze drum motifs, combined with red color, just looking at it you know it is "Vietnamese", both solemn and familiar.

The device is all white, simple, sophisticated, with a highlight being the red power button - the color of the Vietnamese flag, suitable for most users, including me, who usually choose black but still like this device, a red dot on a white background, quite eye-catching.

Not only that, Savi 6 also has a set of wallpapers of places in Vietnam, such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Bitexco, Long Bien Bridge, Chua Cau... These are not just photos that are set as wallpapers, but are photos that have been designed and customized to display on the E-ink screen most beautifully.

Feeling of grip
The feeling of holding an e-reader depends largely on the edges and back, roughness, material, grip and durability over time.

Savi 6 chose a rough plastic back, very light roughness, very comfortable and smooth to hold, but when I held it, it felt a bit slippery.

But I like this type of back more, because it will be durable over time, the holding experience will be consistent for a long time and is also easy to clean.

Many machines have rubber backs, or similar, creating high grip and a very solid feeling, but over time they will age, become sticky, and dust will stick to them and make it difficult to clean, making them feel quite uncomfortable.

Download and read books anywhere - Savi App
The biggest plus point is that the device has the Savi application built-in - the first copyrighted ebook platform for book readers in Vietnam. When you open the device, you can read it immediately, no need for cumbersome installation. This will be a straight line for opening the device, finding books, downloading books and reading, even reading without downloading is fine.

It simplifies the steps from setup to reading, for those who don't know much about technology, no need to copy a memory card, no need to connect to the abc mobile app... tired, now just need to open the Savi app to read. Some more information from Akishop - this July, this Savi book store has officially entered Phase II of the roadmap, with notable upgrades as follows:

Please note, the Savi App book store is a copyright book store, I spend money to buy books to read, have legal copyright, I buy once and own that book on Savi store, if I change devices later, I just need to log in and read. However, the Savi App book store also has a free books section, you can see if there are any good books to read.

For those who buy Savi 6, they will receive a 1-year VIP copyright book package, worth 990,000 VND, on the Savi App, with access to many good books.
The device runs Android
A small but good point is that Savi 6 runs Android, has CHPlay, you can download apps, surf the web, and use it partly like a phone.

Surf the web Sometimes when I'm lazy, I also use Savi 6 to read Tinhte.vn. It's not enough to see pictures without color, but reading them is better, I can read more articles.

In addition, you can take notes, view your calendar, draw, and surf the Google Chrome web like real life.

Machine configuration
Finally, with the price of 4,590,000 VND, what will we get? Let's take a look at the configuration of the Savi 6 including:
Disadvantages
In addition to the above advantages, I personally also see some disadvantages that need attention. They may not be big, but you need to know to see if they suit your needs. Include:

Conclude
Savi 6 is a simple, beautiful, easy to use, stable configuration and especially suitable for beginners like me. After a period of experience, Savi 6 also brings quite a good experience, sharp text, convenient backlight, compact machine, beautiful design...

If I choose a first e-reader, for me, Savi 6 will also be at the top of the list. Those interested in the product can see more here. Thank you Akishop for accompanying me in this article.
