Milwaukee 49-57-9001 flare screw opener on hand and instructions for use to achieve high efficiency

In removing screws, you must have encountered screws with flared heads that are difficult to open. Milwaukee has a set to help you open such screws more easily with code 49-57-9001. In this article, I will introduce it to you and guide you to use it effectively. Please watch the video
Details in the set
This set includes 4 heads numbered from 1 to 4 as shown in the photo below with 4 different sizes for you to choose according to the size of the screw head you want to remove.

Instructions for use
Please note that this set is only used for collet drills. First, you will choose the appropriate size tip, usually I use tip number 2. On each of these ends are 2 ends denoted with the letters A and B First, you will use head A, insert it into the drill, and drill on the screw head counterclockwise at high speed.

Be careful to drill moderately, do not drill too much as it will easily lead to thin screw head walls. When removing, it will easily lead to broken screw heads as shown in the photo below.

Before going to the next step, remember to clean the burrs on the screw heads. Next, you will change to head B, this time you will drill in a counterclockwise direction but at a very slow speed and should add pressure to limit slipping. If you see it slipping, you should stop immediately and try to fix head B before continuing to turn. Thus, the screws will gradually be removed.

Other usage experience
A little more personal experience, with screw heads that were too flared like the screw below, I skipped step A and went straight to step B to do it. When I screwed in this screw, it started to flare and slip so I couldn't continue screwing it in.

The one on the left has a bit of edge left, not enough to use a screwdriver bit, but with head A, I pressed it down hard (without drilling) and luckily the two fluted edges caught the screw head and could be removed without needing to switch to head B.

So I removed these 3 flared screws with 3 different uses The one on the left can be removed using tip A.
Conclude
This set is quite effective to use, but you need to have more skills and experience to use it effectively. Just using it according to the manufacturer's instructions doesn't mean it will be 100% successful. Thank you for viewing the article.
