LG AeroMini 360° in hand: Compact, unique design as bedroom decor

Recently, many people are interested in using compact sized air purifiers for bedrooms or personal work corners. I just borrowed a newly released air purifier from LG, called AeroMini 360°. This machine belongs to the PuriCare line but the size is greatly reduced to target compact living spaces, about less than 27 square meters. Today I will share with you my actual feelings when holding this design in hand, to see if it is interesting and suitable for your actual usage needs or not.
Minimalist, compact design and ability to transform into decoration
The first feeling when I lifted this AeroMini 360° out of the box was that it was actually much lighter and more compact than the advertising images. The weight of the machine is only about 2.8 kg, so moving from room to room with one hand is very light. Overall, the device has a minimalist cylindrical design with two main color tones sold on the market: white and mint green. The version I have here is mint green with code AS30GGG1A. The color looks quite elegant and gentle on the outside, easily matching the modern bedroom or desk space of young people.

Regarding specific dimensions, the diameter of the machine's base is 250mm and the height is 360mm. When I tried placing it on the desk or bedside shelf next to the aisle, I found it took up very little floor space. According to comparative parameters, this machine saves about 37% of floor space and is 30% lower in height compared to the company's regular 360° Hit models. This makes it much easier to arrange the machine in rooms with modest areas, you no longer have to worry about the machine getting entangled or taking up common living space.

One point that I find interesting about this machine is the ability to customize accessories to turn it into a decoration in the room. The company has designed additional options including leather handles, flower trays or even a small table top mounted on the camera body.

For the device I use, I usually attach a brown leather handle to the body, it looks both classic and convenient when I need to carry it around. If you add a flower tray or small table top, the machine will turn into a corner table or decorative shelf to place coffee cups and phones, helping to optimize functionality for narrow rooms. The lower body of the machine is perforated with tiny holes around it to absorb air, creating a seamless and modern feel for the device.

Three-layer filter system and comprehensive air intake mechanism

When I opened the body of the machine to check the filter inside, I saw that the machine used a cylindrical all-in-one Aero Series H13 HEPA filter element. The structure of this filter includes three basic layers: a pre-filter layer to retain large dust, hair or pet hair; Next is the HEPA membrane and the innermost is the deodorizing membrane. Although the overall machine is small, this filter has quite good processing parameters. The filter core can remove up to 99.999% of ultra-fine dust particles as small as 0.01 µm in size, and at the same time handle 99.8% of bacteria, 98.5% of viruses and 99.9% of molds that exist in the air.

Replacing this filter core is also quite simple, users only need to slightly open the lid to quickly pull out the old core and replace the new one. An integrated single-core filter design like this helps ordinary users save time on learning or complex assembly like multiple separate membrane systems.

Experience actual operation, noise levels and omissions
I found out that the AeroMini 360° operates with a BLDC motor, this is a type of motor with a reputation for durability and stable noise control. The machine is equipped with 5 operating modes including Auto, Low, Medium, High and Sleep mode. The recommended filtration area of this machine is about 27 square meters or less with a CADR index of 210 m³/h, equivalent to about 3.5 m³ of air cleaned per minute. This is a suitable parameter level for personal spaces such as bedrooms, studios or home offices.

The point I like most when experiencing this machine in practice is the noise level when operating at night. In Sleep mode, the machine runs extremely quietly with a noise level of only about 26dB. When I placed the machine close to my bed, I could hardly hear the sound of the fan spinning, the space was completely quiet to concentrate on sleeping or working. When turning on the Highest mode to quickly filter when the room is smelly, the noise level will increase a bit and the wind sound will be heard more clearly but still at an acceptable level, not causing unpleasant tinnitus.

However, there are a few cutting points that you need to keep in mind before choosing this machine. The device does not come with a physical remote, does not have a child lock feature, does not integrate an ionizer or UVnano technology commonly found on the company's higher segment models. These are obvious trade-offs for the device to have an accessible price and maximum compact size.

A small test of mine with LG AeroMini 360°
The test sequence is as follows (room 18 square meters):

Comment on test results
It's been a while since I've tested this and that air purifier cabinet. After extinguishing the incense and turning on the LG Aero Mini 360, it took me about 1 hour to bring the ug/m3 index back to the original level of this room. I think this is a very fast time for such a compact air purifier. Even better, if I leave it on a little longer, the ug/m3 index will decrease even more, which is lower than the original level. This proves that there is no need to burn incense, basically there is already pollution in that room that I hardly know about.

I will leave the chart below for your convenience. In the near future, if I have time, I will probably find something to test more for fun. If you want more details, you can watch the video, images sometimes don't show everything.

Smart features via control application on the phone
The back of the camera body is integrated with a PM1.0 sensor that helps measure ultra-fine dust particles in the room. The machine displays air quality visually to users through an LED light system with 4 different color levels, switching from Red, Orange, Yellow to Green corresponding to the level from pollution to freshness. Looking at the color of the light displayed on the machine, I immediately know what the current air condition is in the room so I can adjust the mode accordingly.

Because the device does not have an accompanying physical remote, all advanced control and monitoring operations are performed via the LG ThinQ application on the phone via a Wi-Fi connection. The app connection experience is quite fast and smooth. When entering the app interface, you can monitor the air quality chart in real time, view the history of PM2.5 fine dust concentration by day, week or month in the same way as monitoring environmental indicators on specialized measuring devices.

In addition, the application also supports remote turning on and off, operating timer, smart diagnosis and sending automatic notifications when the filter is due for replacement. Putting all control features on the phone helps the display interface on the camera body become more minimalist, suitable for today's user habits of using smart devices.
In short…

In short, if you are looking for an air purifier for a large living room or open space, then clearly the AeroMini 360° with an area limited to less than 27 square meters will not be the right choice. But if your needs are limited to a small bedroom, a private work corner or a children's room, and need a device that has a beautiful decor-like appearance, smooth, silent operation and convenient management via phone, then this machine is an option worth considering. The combination of good basic air filtration and a minimalist, flexible design is the core point that makes this product different. Those interested in the product can see more here.
