This result shows that Tammi is attracting the attention of users. Unlike Viettel's previous individually developed applications, Tammi is designed according to the super application model, integrating nearly 50 services on one interface and using AI Agent to support operations.
Tammi's main feature groups include calling, texting and online meetings.
According to Viettel's introduction, Tammi was developed to limit some common problems when calling over the Internet such as stuttering, lag, loss of sound or loss of quality when the connection is unstable.
This platform combines OTT services with Viettel's telecommunications infrastructure and technological capabilities developed by the business. According to Viettel, this combination is intended to improve the ability to handle and maintain connection quality in calls over the Internet.
One of the features introduced by Viettel is cross-calling App-to-Phone and Phone-to-App. Tammi users can call regular phone numbers that do not have the app installed, while phone number users can also receive calls from Tammi according to the mechanism supported by the platform.
This feature expands communication between Tammi users and those who do not yet have the app installed. In some cases, such as when the mobile connection is unstable but Wi-Fi is still available, users can switch to a connection method appropriate to the network conditions.
Tammi also supports online meetings with group video calls of up to 100 people, with a free duration of up to 120 minutes, according to information from Viettel. The business said this feature targets needs such as studying, working in groups and organizing online conferences.
Tammi was first introduced by Viettel at MWC Barcelona in March, before entering the internal testing phase in Vietnam in June.
The milestone of 5 million users is identified by Viettel as one of the first steps in the process of developing Tammi into a digital communication and service platform. In particular, calling and texting features are considered a group of fundamental services to form regular usage frequency.
