(Dan Tri) - In the official announcement, Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) said that the company is taking steps to participate in the mobile telecommunications field under the mobile virtual network (MVNO) model.

Vietnam Post selected Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) as its infrastructure partner. According to the virtual mobile network (MVNO) model, Vietnam Post will develop brands, products, distribution systems and customer care activities based on exploiting VNPT's telecommunications infrastructure.

In the first step of entering the market, Vietnam Post introduced the SIM Pottel brand. Currently, this network has not announced the number.

This approach helps Vietnam Post take advantage of existing infrastructure, shorten deployment time, optimize investment resources and focus more on factors that create direct value for customers.

This is also a characteristic of the MVNO model being deployed in many markets around the world. Instead of investing in building a completely new telecommunications network, businesses can focus their resources on exploiting their own advantages to form different products and service models.

Choosing MVNO also creates conditions for Vietnam Post to connect telecommunications services with the service ecosystem being provided on the network, gradually expanding the ability to serve customers in both physical and digital environments.

According to the license issued by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Science and Technology, in December 2025, Vietnam Post is allowed to establish a public terrestrial mobile telecommunications network that does not use radio frequency bands, with a nationwide deployment scope. Services provided include voice, messaging, transmission for machine-to-machine connection and Internet access.
