Write about lunch boxes and the environment

One time I bought a box of fried chicken rice, the hot chicken thigh was placed on top of the rice that I had just dug out, the whole thing was placed inside a styrofoam box and then collapsed. When I got home and opened the box, I saw that the lid was melted and slimy in the shape of a thigh. Since then, I've been very hesitant to eat or drink from plastic containers, plastic wrap or disposable utensils... I feel like food, whether hot or cold, is at risk of being contaminated with microplastics. If I swipe a spoon into a Styrofoam box, it will scratch a layer of plastic. I find that most people's food buying habits are quite sketchy, almost depending on the packaging process of the goods sold. Several racks of hot broth poured into a plastic bag, causing the bag to deform, so if you see it, you should be worried.

That's the problem, as for the solution, I don't dare to give an opinion on the whole thing, I can only state my way of doing things and not force anyone to follow, because sometimes I also use disposable plastic items for convenience.

First, I reduce the habit of buying food to take home and eat it on the spot. If I buy it to take home, I bring coffee or glass containers, especially hot food. For drinks, I have a stainless steel cup to buy coffee, and a thick plastic bottle to hold filtered water to carry with me at all times.

Going further, when buying other things, I try to carry them in my bag or refuse to take a plastic bag if I can hold it or put things in the cart,... I enjoy washing cups and boxes myself and accept other shortcomings when choosing such an activity.

All of these habits make me look like an environmental activist, but really I'm prioritizing myself first because it makes me feel good. The impact of plastic is obvious and difficult to avoid, but it is actually possible to reduce it for yourself somewhat. If the majority of consumers support more friendly solutions, packaging processes and buying and selling habits will certainly change and reduce a lot of waste.

I have no prejudice against other people's living habits (as long as they do not affect the surrounding people). Sometimes I also think that the earth needs a huge amount of trash to drown out everything that is hurting it, or that trash will be an important source of fuel for the next civilizations. However, I also see that things are changing very positively. Every day I meet and connect more and more with very dedicated people, so the efforts of one individual cannot be denied.
