Volvo EX90 and ES90: Volvo's next two electric car models in Vietnam

Volvo Car Vietnam is preparing to bring two high-end pure electric car models EX90 (SUV) and ES90 (sedan) to the domestic market, expected to officially launch in the fourth quarter of this year. From July 2026, customers can book these two car models early at the authorized dealer network nationwide and enjoy a number of exclusive privileges for the first group of customers. These are the first two Volvo models to use 800V voltage architecture. According to the company's announcement, this platform helps shorten charging time and improve battery system durability. When charging with a high-power DC station, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% battery in about 22 minutes under ideal conditions. Both cars also share a new generation core computer, more powerful AI processing than the previous generation and can update features over the air (OTA).

In particular, the EX90 is a pure electric SUV, with a 6 or 7-seat configuration depending on the version, with a spacious interior space typical of large SUVs. In terms of safety, the car achieved a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP, a Top Safety Pick+ title from IIHS, and was voted by the World Car Awards as a World Luxury Car 2025 (World Luxury Car 2025). Volvo introduces this as the safest car model the company has ever produced. The ES90 is not a traditional sedan but has a sporty fastback shape combined with a higher ground clearance than usual. The car is aimed at a group of customers who need a car that is both elegant for work and comfortable enough for family activities.

Details about the engine configuration and accompanying amenities have not been revealed, but these are all top-of-the-line models of the brand, and the accompanying equipment is certainly very rich. From July 2026, customers can book two car models early at authorized Volvo dealers nationwide to enjoy incentives for the first group of customers. For specific details about the offer, customers should contact the dealer directly. At the same time, Volvo Car Vietnam is expanding its charging station infrastructure, now available at dealerships in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Recently, many charging station systems across the country have also been connected via the VETC platform, allowing positioning, charging and payment right on the phone without using many different applications.
