Websites broadcasting pirated, disguised soccer betting broke out in the middle of the World Cup season

Not only do they infringe copyright, these websites also become channels that lure users into online betting and fraud activities.
The reporter's notes show that, just by searching for the keyword "Twitteroi Lac" on Google, users can easily come across a series of websites using this keyword to advertise illegal football broadcasting channels. When a domain name is blocked, new domains quickly appear in its place.
Contrary to the image of "free viewing for the community" that is often promoted, the main goal of these websites is to exploit traffic for illegal money-making activities.
In addition to pirated broadcast content, website interfaces are often dense with advertising banners, pop-up windows and redirection links to soccer betting websites, illegal card game portals or links with potential risks of spreading malicious code.
Mr. Truong Duc Luong, CEO of Vietnam Cyber Security Joint Stock Company (VSEC), commented that pirated broadcasting websites are not only limited to copyright infringement but have become a tool to attract users and support criminal organizations in cyberspace.
According to Mr. Luong, subjects often use free football content as a "bait" to attract large amounts of traffic. When reaching millions of visits, these websites become effective promotional channels for online betting, gambling and fraud activities.
Illegal football viewers are also easy targets for scams due to their subjective psychology and willingness to click on ads with messages such as "receive rewards", "good bets" or "special promotions".
In fact, these may be scripts staged to lure users into depositing money into the betting system or installing malware to steal data on the device.
