iPhone 18 Pro Max keeps having errors after 2 weeks of release

(Dan Tri) - According to MacRumors, some iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max users reported that their devices sometimes make unusual crunching sounds.
Users describe the sound as a crunching, ticking, or random clicking sound. Many people said that the problem is mainly noted in the phone speaker. Worth mentioning, the above problem appeared on both iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models.

Some people hear this sound constantly, while others only hear it while using an app, scrolling a web page, when the keyboard appears, or when making a call over a cellular network.
According to reports from users, turning on/off airplane mode or quickly changing screen brightness can trigger the above issue.
Apple has not given any official response about the cause of this situation.
Previously on September 29, Apple released iOS 27.0.1 update to fix problems related to Face ID on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The issue may cause the device to reboot automatically when facial recognition fails.
According to information described in the operating system notes, Apple said the most serious error affects iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. In some cases, Face ID cannot identify the user. Instead of asking to try again, the phone may crash and restart on its own.
Some cases recorded phones even stopping responding after facial recognition failed. The touch screen may be disabled, then the device restarts automatically.
This is the first time Apple has put Face ID's infrared camera below the screen. This change helps the company shrink the Dynamic Island area, thereby optimizing the front display space.
To date, Apple has not announced the specific cause of the Face ID error. Therefore, it is not possible to determine whether the problem is related to the new sensor system layout or originates from iOS.
