Microsoft 365 Copilot helps businesses increase productivity
Microsoft 365 Copilot was born in the context of the productivity gap being a big challenge for many businesses. Data from the World Bank in 2025 shows that Vietnamese GDP per worker will reach 27,957 USD, about 55% of the global average (50,672 USD) and 39% compared to Malaysia. This difference makes company leaders worried and looking for solutions to optimize resources.
However, the shortage of working capacity is not a story unique to Vietnam. According to the Microsoft APAC Work Trend Index 2025 report, 84% of workers in Asia-Pacific (APAC) say they lack time and energy to complete work. Specifically, personnel are spending too many hours every day on administration, emails, and manual meetings, leading to a lack of space for creativity and strategic thinking.
To solve this problem, businesses need to apply artificial intelligence (AI) systematically, not simply forcing employees to "work harder". Microsoft 365 Copilot Business was not born as a single application but is positioned as a "security capability layer" that integrates directly into daily work flow through Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
The Forrester Total Economic Impact (TEI) study commissioned by Microsoft shows a series of specific figures. For businesses, Microsoft 365 Copilot can save an average of 9 hours of work per user per month. According to analysis, personnel are "freed" from repetitive tasks such as summarizing emails or organizing documents to focus on higher-value tasks.
According to a representative of Tech Data (part of TD Synnex) - Microsoft's Global Frontier Distributor, the journey to bring AI into businesses should start with small steps, gradually building confidence. In the first phase, units can use AI to automate daily tasks such as summarizing emails, organizing files, and setting reminders.
After the platform operates stably, businesses can apply AI to analyze customer behavior, identify trends and business opportunities, thereby increasing the speed of interaction with customers.
The IMF's 2025 report also points out that AI adoption needs to be accompanied by skills upgrading, data governance and process redesign to address a series of structural barriers. This reality requires businesses to not only buy a piece of software, but also need a methodical implementation strategy.
