This beef noodle shop in Jiufen ancient village, Taipei, Taiwan is so delicious

Eat beef noodles at Cuu Phan - restaurant 九份老麵店 It was noon when I arrived at Jiufen tourist village in Taipei, so I was hungry and went to find a restaurant to eat. After considering about 5 different restaurants, I chose 九份老麵店, located right on Qishan Street (基山街), the sign added the line "九份第一家" meaning the first noodle shop in Jiufen. After eating, I felt like I made the right choice, so I wrote this article to show it off, so that if you go there, you can try it. I don't know how to read Chinese, so after looking at everything around the restaurant, I used my decades of experience in liking good food and chose this restaurant.
Some information about the restaurant
I learned more and found out that this shop has been around for a long time, more than 50-60 years, opened in 1958. The person who originally opened the shop was a retired miner (he had an ear injury so he stopped working in the mine). At that time, Cuu Phan was a gold mining area, and the noodle shop opened to sell miners food to help them work. This is considered the first restaurant selling beef noodles in Cuu Phan. Now the restaurant is still cooked by the family's children and grandchildren, still keeping the old recipe. Looking at the way the restaurant sells and serves, it is truly a long-standing family restaurant, not a restaurant opened to rip off tourists.
Comments on the beef noodles I ate
I like Taiwanese beef noodles so I often eat them in many places, but no place is as delicious as here:
In addition to beef noodles, the restaurant also has wonton noodles that are also famous. Those who do not like eating beef can order this dish.

Conclude
I prefer to eat at these long-standing family restaurants rather than restaurants that specialize in tourism, because they are often more delicious and authentic. If you have the opportunity to visit Cuu Phan and are wondering which restaurant to eat, just try this restaurant, I think you won't be disappointed.

The cover photo is of a bowl of beef noodles when they first brought it to the table for me. This picture is when I finished eating. I almost didn't leave anything behind. The food is delicious so you have to eat it all.

Dipping table. I like dipping sauce and satay, so I made myself a bowl of dipping sauce that is reasonable and delicious. Here, people keep this table separately, not at every table like in Vietnam. I think this style is also reasonable if the shop doesn't have enough space.

The restaurant has 4 tables and is crowded with customers, so they have a meca sheet to divide the tables in half for two groups of customers to sit.

The guy standing in the kitchen looked very skilled and I confirmed that he did well and deliciously.

Looking at the pots of broth, you can see the prestige.

Add a plate of vegetables like sweet potato.

An extra plate of pickles

A plate of Chinese eggs and cold tofu. I don't eat this, my wife eats it.

The restaurant looks old and dirty like a family restaurant.

Old family photos

This is probably the shop's sign

Side dishes are available for anyone who requests them.

I don't know what generation this guy is from the shop.

The clock is no longer on time.
